The Dome from the South

Originally a riding school and stables for the Prince Regent 1803- 8, designed by William Porden, and is now a now a concert hall.

The roof was at the time one of the largest in the world.

The dome has now been covered with lead, which gives the whole an unfortunate oppressive air, far removed from the original intent, seen here.

Date: 1803 -1808
